My Favorite Apps to Save $$$

Hi, my name is Samara, and....

I am a money saving freak.

Yep, I admit it! I love saving money. I used to clip coupons like a crazy lady, but as life got busier I found coupon clipping time consuming. Thankfully, with today's technology we can save money by using our phones! That, my friends, is very exciting to me.

Here I list my favorite apps to save money. I have tried them and approved them (just like I have tried some and then dumped them. Those I won't even mention!).

Now, go download and save some dinero! (money, dinero means money)

Ibotta is a rebate app. Before going on your shopping trip, look for items that interest you and unlock the rebate for that item. After your purchase, you must scan that specific item and then verify your receipt. It's easier than it sounds :) You can also unlock rebates after your purchases. Once you verify your purchases and your rebate is accepted, Ibotta will put cash into your own Ibotta account within 24 hours. Once you reach $10 in your account you can submit to get your payment (or keep accumulating for a rainy day!!!).

Receipt Hog has changed a lot since I started using it. Not that very happy with it now, but I continue to use it to accumulate points. With Receipt Hog you accumulate points by photographing your receipts. After your receipt has been approved you receive points and other rewards.

Checkout 51 has a list of items for you to choose from. You "star" the item you purchased and then submit your receipt. It is a lot like Ibotta, but there are less items to choose from.

Find & Save is a pretty cool app. It gives you a list of ways to get cash back at certain stores. Sometimes you need a specific purchase to get the cash back, but sometimes you just need minimum amount of purchased items. Please use code X5V5 if you sign up! Not all money saving apps have a referral program, but this one does :)

This is my daughter's favorite app! Shopkick is quite different. With Shopkick you scan specific items listed by the app and you get points just for scanning. There are also purchase points, but we earn mostly with scanning. It's fun! Great summer activity! "Kids, it's hot! Let's go to a few stores and scan away." Right?!

6. MobiSave

I consider Mobisave a "cute" app. It's good, but not a lot of variety. What I do like about it is that you get paid right away. With Mobisave, you must choose the items you want to get a rebate on BEFORE you make the purchase. Pick items, purchase, scan receipt, get paid. Easy!

7. Raise

Raise provides gift cards at a discounted price. Very easy to use! You may be saving $3.00 to $5.00 per card, but it does accumulate.

I think almost everyone has heard of Groupon. We get a lot of discounted tickets and restaurant deals. The deals they provide are targeted to your area. It is definitely worth the try if you have not done so yet.

There you have it, my friends! My little list of favorite money saving apps! Hope they are as useful to you as they are to me!

Enjoy and share the money saving love!
